Celebrating life’s little victories

Just taking a moment to celebrate life’s little victories.

I got gas for $1.93 today!  Filled up the tank for $30 ($70 just a few months ago) – can you believe it!  I know it’s a stupid thing to get excited about, and it won’t last long, but I just can't help it.  I never thought I’d see under $2.00 again.

Then, at the grocery store an older lady ran her basket into a stack of plastic cups.  They should have never been there in the first place, you know how irritating is it when they stack something up at the end of the isle right in everyone’s way.  Anyway, she ran into them and knocked them all down.  We’re talking at least 40 packages of cups.  Well my 9 year old son saw what happened, immediately asked me to hold his paper he had and he went over and helped the lady pick up the cups.   I was so proud of him.

If you’ve had any small victories today, take a moment to just smile and enjoy them.   I’m sure you’ll be on to the next headache soon enough anyway.
